Sunday 8th of April 2001

9:30 Everybody meet in Copenhagen International Airport, Terminal 3, at the stairs up to "Cafe H.C. Andersen". Handing over of visa, pasports and flight tickets, then check-in individually.

10:35 Departure from Copenhagen by SAS Commutor, on economy class (SK 1732).

13:00 Arrival at Kaliningrad. Transfer to city centre by coach. Accomodation for 1 night at:

14:30 Everybody meet in the hotel lobby. Introduction by the tour leader, the historian

Mr. Jörgen Granum-Jensen.

15:00 Sightseeing in the city of Kaliningrad, guided by the local Russian guide, Ms Marina Yakovenko, ph/fax 007 112- 44 50 20. Focus on history (the old Königsberg), on culture, on the Russo-Orthodocs church, on economic life and on infra structure of the region.

16:30 Coffee break.

The meeting takes place the Conference Hall of World Ocean Museum, Kaliningrad, St. Piter Embankment, house no 1.

Monday 9th of April

9:00 Check-out from Hotel Kaliningrad. Departure by coach.

Visit to the museum of Königsberger Dom and the market place in Kaliningrad, accompanied by the guide Marina Yakovenko.

12:20 Departure from Kaliningrad. The route goes via Zelenogradsk, along the coast through the national park "Curonian Spit", 40 km. Crossing the Russian-Lithuanian frontier station Ribachy. 15:30 Lunch break in Nida, Lithuanian resort on the Curonian Spit. On own expence.

17:00 Departure from Nida. Short break and view to the dunes.

18:45 Ferry boat to Klaipeda.

Tuesday 10th of April

9:30 Departure from Hotel Parkas.

10:15 Visit to the shipbuilding yard Baltijos Laivu Statykla, founded in 1952. The shipyard is owned by Maersk and has Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd. as a Danish partner. 1,500 employees, annual turnover approx. 25 mill. US $. Briefing by the Deputy Director General, Technical Director, Mr. Sergey Boyko, and the Danish Project Manager Mr Kjaer Siggaard, ph. 370 6 39 81 74, ksi@oss.dk, followed by a guided tour at the shipyard.

12:00 Lunch hosted by Baltijos Laivu Statykla.

13:30 Departure from the shipyard.

Wednesday 11th of April

11:05 Arrival at Rukla Military Training Centre, 20 km NE of Kaunas.

11:30 Briefing on Lithuanian-Danish military co-operation in generel, by the Danish Defence Attaché, Commander Senior Grade Henrik Lange and Capt Pedersen

13:30 Departure fra Rukla.

14:15 Arrival at Kaunas (parking plac near by old town), the 2nd biggest city of Lithuania

Lunch break in Kaunas, at own expence.

15:30 Departure from Kaunas.

17:30 Arrival at Vilnius. Check-in for 2 nights:

Counsellor Niels Bo Poulsen, Royal Danish Embassy in Vilnius (ph +370 2 22 45 45), will give a generel introduction about Lithuania and the political situation.

19:10 End of meeting. Walk to a restaurant near by the hotel.

Thursday 12th of April

8:30 Joint departure from the hotel, by taxies.

9:00 Meeting with LLS-members of Seimas, the Lithuanian Parliament. The meeting takes place in the Constitutional Hall.

10:00 End of meeting – Guided tour in the Seimas by Ms Neringa Morozaite, including White Hall.

12:00 Lunch break in Vilnius.

13:00 Meeting with Minister of Economy, Mr Eugenijus Gentvilas, Former Mayor of Kleipeda and Formor President of LLS, Lithuanian Liberal Union. The meeting is taking place at Gedimino ave. 37, Vilnius.

13:30 End of meeting. Tim at own disposal rest of the afternoon.

15:10 Offer to delegates who show special interest:
